Another Net Game Show to Premiere
September 10th, 2007
Fans of the You Don’t Know Jack spoof of game shows can look forward to more lovely parting gifts. Berkeley Systems just announced its upcoming release of You Don’t Know Jack Sports: The Net Show to its online site, www.bezerk.com.
According to Chris Deyo, vice president of marketing at Berkeley Systems, bringing You Don’t Know Jack Sports online is a logical next step, since sports Web sites like ESPN are popular and enjoy heavy traffic.
You Don’t Know Jack Sports: The Net Show will follow the same format as the original Net Show. Players answer five sports-related trivia questions and proceed to the next round. Since games are advertiser-supported, players see full-screen ads between each round.
You Don’t Know Jack Sports, which will be available March 3, will be the first of three new Berkeley Systems games scheduled for this year. The company also plans to release two non-trivia games this summer: Acrophobia, a word game in which players invent original phrases for given acronyms, and Rude Reviewer, a sarcastic movie review show.
